Dear friends,

Thank you very much for your massages. I"m most grateful for your thoughtfulness.

We, who are staying in Tokyo, are OK so far. At the time of the earthquake, I was in JICA HQ to attend a meeting. Though the meeting was suspended few minutes to huddle under a table, my colleagues continued to work until end of our shift. Actually, we didn"t realize that such huge number of citizens were faced with the tragedy by Tsunami in Tohoku Area. On that day, I spent all night in my office since JR had suspended its operation. My apartment is located about 40km away from JICA HQ.

We are still in shock, but not panicked. And we"are trying to recover from the shock.

Due to lack of electricity, again JR train operation has been down since this morning. We need a lot of time and energy to recover from the damage.

Best wishes,
